Together, we can end homelessness among veterans in Boston. Thank you for your support!
One of the major barriers to ending veteran homelessness is the lack of flexible funds available for veterans who are moving into housing. Many veterans – who may have received rental vouchers or been offered funding for rental assistance – remain homeless, unable to move into housing because they cannot afford the cost of the actual move or lack funding for furniture, new mattresses, and basic household items like bedding, small appliances, and kitchen necessities.
Your donation directly impacts this by providing the means to which veterans can access these household items.
Who Handles Donations?
Boston Homes for the Brave is seeking donations that will help Boston veterans who are struggling to fund their moving costs or who need help covering the costs of basic household items. Donations will be collected by the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance (MHSA), one of the Initiative’s partner organizations. Working with its partners in the City of Boston, MHSA will use all donated funds to cover expenses for Boston veterans who are moving into their new, permanent homes.
